A few weeks before the race and the car is still stripped down. Its a great chance to work on the core details such as making sure the electrical system, fuel and oil systems are all routed and there are no damaged hoses or wires. My primary focus was installing and checking over the electrical system.

In Colorado for the practice weekend. Cody was able to perform some repairs on the body and get the whole car assembled and ready to go. Some final checks in the shop space and we are on the mountain in the morning.

Day one of testing and we start in Glen Cove which is my favorite place on the mountain. We arrive when its dark but the sun rise makes waking up early worth while. No issues this morning which is always great news.

Day 2 of practice is at the bottom. Everything was working great and I had a chance to watch Ken Block in his custom Porsche come to the start line.

Back in Las Vegas making some changes and updates based on what we learned from the time on the mountain. There weren’t any major issues so most things where quality of life changes like making the door mechanisms work a bit better. We spent quite a bit of time on the dyno dialing in the engine.

I was working at Xos and missed race week up until the weekend. The car was doing well though there were some concerns about the engines health. Since the engine had survived the week it was time to turn up the boost for race day and perform any final checks.

Race day was one of the worst I have experienced. Cold, wet and rainy.
